THE RHYTHM OF DESIGN - ONLINE WEBINAR VIEWING WITH Q&A (Live + Recording)

Join us for a fascinating exploration of pattern, symbolism, and artistic expression in The Rhythm of Design, part of the DG Arts Lecture Series—a curated program bringing together visual discovery, history, and the language of design across civilizations. This is the first installment of our new webinar series: The Rhythm of Design.

Our distinguished speaker, Perry Sayles, Architectural Historian, Interior Designer, and Photographer, draws upon extensive international travel and decades of visual research documenting rare historic architecture, landscapes, and enduring artistic traditions. Through his lens and scholarship, he reveals how great works of the past were conceived, constructed, and sustained across centuries.

This opening session explores the world of pattern and design, beginning with the geometric traditions of Islamic art. We will examine how mathematical precision, visual rhythm, and symbolic meaning converge to create one of the most sophisticated design languages in history—and how these principles continue to influence art, architecture, and design today.

The presentation includes original photography by Perry Sayles, supported by carefully selected public-domain imagery.

Live Online Webinar via Zoom
Monday, June 29, 2026
3:00–4:00 PM EST
We will conclude with a live Q&A

Participants will receive immediate access to the Zoom link upon registration. A recording will be available for those unable to attend live.

Price: $35 (Introductory price $30 until June 15)
