Travel by Train, from Grand central station (just buy a single ticket to Croton Harmon train station) or come by car, all meet at Croton Harman Station
Those who travel by train will be driven from the station to the Aiello workshop. Jan and Mike Aiello will meet us at the train Station and direct us all to their studio for a welcome breakfast of fresh croissants and coffee.
11:45 AM-1:00 pm
We will tour the restoration studio after which it would be appreciated if you could donate by cash or credit card to Jan Aiello for her pro bono work thus far on the statue; towards the work that she still must finish.
1:30 PM -2:30 Lunch
Those who came by train will be offered a ride by those who came by Car. We will drive to Cold Spring 20 minutes away from Croton.
Lunch at the lovely Hudson House: 2 main Street Cold Spring 100 feet from the Hudson River, a charming restaurant that George Washington used to frequent. (Price not included in the trip) Menu can be found here
2:45 pm
Walk up and down Main Street and visit all the Specialty and antiques.
Those who wish to Make there way to Boscobel will drive up to enjoy the spectacular views of the Hudson River and West point, wander around the herb gardens and the tranquil and delightful grounds.
3:00pm -4pm
Tour of the inside of Boscobel for those that would like to see it (limited to 12 people), others can wander around the grounds.
( Price for the entry $25 is included in registration)
4pm
Take those who need to get to the 4:20pm train back to Grand central train (takes one and a quarter hour to get to Manhattan Buy your single ticket on the train.)
